I recently ran for a local city council and used Facebook as a key part of my campaign strategy. After getting knocked out I was approached by another candidate to run his online strategy for him. I agree this will continue to be a way that campaigning continues to change and grow given the ability to target with more granularity than TV and radio currently offer.

I think for years to come we are going to see politicians really step it up with their online marketing approach. Obama really paved the way for that effort.
