Acquisio SEARCH is a productivity platform designed for SEM agencies. It helps agencies launch, manage, automate and optimize PPC campaigns across all search engines. The platform helps marketers save time on redundant tasks so they can spend more of it on strategy and intelligent campaign refinement. Our Story:
2003: Acquisio began in 2003 as a small, boutique marketing firm. Branded at the time as ‘Canalytics’, we were experts in SEO, SEM and Google Analytics (okay, it was still Urchin back then!) serving the Canadian market for the most part, and starting to branch out into the United States. Canalytics was the first company in Canada to become an official Google partner in the Google Analytics Authorized Consultants program (GAAC), and as we grew, our needs as an agency began to grow also.
2005: By ’05 the search was on for tools and software that we could use to help us scale as an agency, but as we soon found (or failed to), there just weren’t any good pieces of agency oriented software out there. Because we happened to have some brilliant programmers on staff (go Ben, go!), we began to produce our own in-house tools to help manage our growing client portfolio, and in the process, identified a need in the marketplace for agencies like our own.
2007: We continued to build in-house tools to help support our agency, but over the course of 2006 we realized our focus had changed – there was a big opportunity out there staring us in the face, and we simply couldn’t ignore it any longer. In early 2007 we got some seed capital based on the concept of producing an agency oriented suite of Pay Per Click management tools, and we haven’t looked back since. In the spring of 2007 we sold off our own management agency to help fuel the software development team, and set our sights on a product launch early in the new year.
2008: February of the great ’08 was the first launch of our integrated PPC management tool, now branded as Acquisio SEARCH, and advertisers started to climb on board. Our vision grew with the ever-expanding market, and we began to solicit some serious investment – our offices started to spill over with employees so we moved (a whole 5 minute walk away!) into new diggs, and we’re on the cusp of repeating the move again (this time, less that a 5 minute walk!).
2009: So here we are, an international company with clients clear across the globe (hellooooo Australia, China, what’s up?) and some of the largest interactive agencies on the planet using our software to make themselves more efficient, and more profitable.
2010: We’ve come a long way, but there’s more work to be done. We’re currently integrating new product features, and this year will see more engines managed by our software, and more interactive advertising agencies climbing on-board.
