Wear it Pink!

The past few weeks have been quite exciting!  For one, on May 27th, the girls were all wearing their Acquisio pink t-shirt as it was “Wear it pink day”!  This day is organized by the Jewish General Hospital to promote the Weekend to End Women’s Cancer’s Walk.  Our colleague Laura will be participating in this fundraiser event next August.  This was our way to show our support!

Get out, Get Active.

On June 4th, we had an Awesome Event. We all went to play outside for a part of the afternoon.  It was hot and sunny and we started by playing a game of Ultimate Frisbee.  It was initiation time for most but we discovered lots of talent.  We also played a game of soccer, had time to talk with everyone and enjoyed the picnic.

Dragon Boat Competition.

June 13th was our Dragon-Boat competition.  Our colleague Annie is going to attend the World Championships next July in China and was organizing this great event to raise money.  So we got a chance to try this amazing sport on the St-Louis Lac in Lachine.  Perfect day, perfect sport…very cool!  Many thanks go to Annie for bringing this sport to us!  And good luck to her and her team in China.

Max builds himself a little fort

Boys will be boys – our dear friend Max, clearly upset that he didn’t get an office of his own during our last reshuffle, decided to build his own out of cardboard boxes and old marketing posters.

So cute.

Offsite Meeting Wisdom – or "What are you sinking about?"

When you take your management team to an offsite meeting, here are a few tips to avoid coming home wondering why you took this time away from the office:

1. Do not bring more than 2 bottles of wine per person per day. I would say that 1.5 bottles is just enough lubrication. Except for the next morning headache.

2. Food – don’t let your bacon cook unsupervised. Unsupewrvised bacon eventually turns black and powdery. Not good.

3. Don’t do hotels. Cottages are best. Especially large lake side cottages with large bay windows on a large lake with large snowflakes and large bedrooms. Wi-fi must be available everywhere.

Over the past 2 days, we accomplished so much that we’re seriously pondering a permanent move. We talked shop – lots of it. We also planned loads of great stuff for our beloved clients. We actually know exactly what we’re going to do with our money.

We couldn’t have been this productive if it wasn’t for someone’s delicious meals, attention to every detail, and absolutely perfect preparation. From the melt in your mouth osso bucco to the best strawberry pies ever – ever. Marie, thank you Soooooo much, we had a great time at your gorgeous country home, it couldn’t possibly have been better. You’re awesome!
