Facebook Contest Winner Announced!

The Acquisio Facebook contest has come to a close. The competition was fierce, and it was great seeing so many pictures climb the ‘Like’ charts on Acquisio’s Facebook wall, but it’s time to announce the winner.

What we did was take the three entrants who gathered the most “Likes” on their photos, and picked one at random to win a Google Chromebook.

And the winner of the Chromebook is… (drum roll please)… Miss Cassie Doubleday (@doublecass)!!!

Congratulation Cassie Doubleday. We’ll be in touch via Facebook to get that Chromebook to you as soon as possible.

A big thank you to everyone who participated, especially Jihane E. and Mohamed Hamad who gathered the most ‘Likes’! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Acquisio Announces New EMEA Managing Director and Continued International Expansion

Company investing further in UK and Europe due to appetite for performance media platform

London, UK December 6th, 2011 – As part of its continued international growth, performance media platform Acquisio is building out its EMEA offering and operations. Laurent Boninfante has been appointed EMEA Managing Director to expand both the corporate infrastructure and services being led out of the UK.

Boninfante will be responsible for reinforcing the EMEA team and providing local product and service support to the existing client base as well as new clients.  He will also set and execute Acquisio business development strategy across the EMEA region, develop key strategic relationships with various categories of partner and influence the Acquisio product roadmap based on understanding the needs of agencies in EMEA.

Prior to joining Acquisio, Boninfante led new business and strategic account acquisition for Kenshoo Europe and served as Head of Search for OMD Digital UK where he launched the OMD UK agencies Paid Search offering. Previous work also included Head of Account Management at 24/7 RealMedia UK and various digital projects as a consultant.
“When we decided to continue our European expansion, we thought one of our current senior managers would have to move to Europe to lead the office. Those plans changed when we met Laurent, who seems like he was custom made for Acquisio,” said Marc Poirier, co-founder and CMO of Acquisio. “Not only does he have years of experience running large search marketing teams for some of the world’s most important search agencies, but his personality, attitude and core values are directly in line with ours. With the EMEA area in his capable hands, we feel confident that our European customers will be well served and that we have the foundation necessary to continue our significant growth in the area.”

“Over the years, I have not seen a technology solution company that understands the needs of agencies as well as Acquisio does,” said Boninfante.  “Its razor sharp focus on solving agencies’ pain points combined with the advanced campaign management offerings in Search, Social & Display provides a key differentiator in a market where major players want to be all things to all men. I am very excited to have joined such an innovative company.”

Acquisio’s activities in the UK and Europe to date have enabled the company to fully assess the business opportunity for its performance media platform in the region. Working closely with key clients such as iProspect, Rocketer and Netbooster/Guava has enabled the company to gain an invaluable understanding of the particular dynamics of digital marketing in key locations and this first-hand insight is now being utilised to further grow the business.

“The UK, and indeed the whole EMEA region, has particular needs and challenges that are very different to the North American market;” added Boninfante. “The fragmentation of the territory means there are many more local players, publishers and sources of data available. Adding to that all the cultural, language, industry and regulatory diversity that abounds, having ‘both feet’ in Europe is the best way for Acquisio to support and strengthen the efforts of each and every client.”

Search Engine Strategy Chicago – November 14-18, 2011

For a long time, display advertising has played second fiddle to search — after all, you can't get the same kind of targeted placement, pricing, and ROI with display as you can with search, right?  Wrong! To learn why search marketers can no longer afford to ignore display advertising, plan on joining our own Marc Poirier during his session "Crossing the Digital Divide: The Leap from Search to Display" at SES Chicago. Head on over to the SES Chicago site to register for the conference, and then mark your calendars for Marc's presentation at 9:45AM on Wednesday, November 16.  See you in the Windy City!

Ted Talks about Leveraging Search Data in Display

Last week, Acquisio’s EMEA Manager Ted Paul-Cavallier gave a brief presentation at a Figaro Digital UK seminar talking about how to leverage your search data to make better decisions about display…and it was caught on tape!  If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about the benefits of ad exchanges, the power of retargeting, or you simply want to know how Acquisio was able to increase its own lead volume by 50% while decreasing our cost per acquisition by 20% in the first week, you’ll want to check out Ted’s presentation.

Acquisio and The Trade Desk Offer the Industry’s First Scalable, Integrated Approach to Empowering Display with Search Data

Pioneers in Performance Media, Display Buying Unveil Early Results of Year-Long Partnership at SMX East

Montreal, Canada and New York, New York–(PRWeb)—September 13, 2011— Earlier today at the SMX East conference in New York City, performance media platform Acquisio unveiled insights and results gleaned from its year-long partnership with demand side platform The Trade Desk. Since the partnership was announced in June 2010, both companies have been working behind the scenes to create a deep, seamless integration between their respective search/PPC and display offerings. As a result of this endeavor, more than 2,800 users managing more than 7,000 brands now have the ability to buy, track, compare, and report on display purchases across more than 4 million websites, without ever needing to leave the Acquisio platform.

THE FIRST HOLISTIC, SCALABLE APPROACH TO SEARCH AND DISPLAY INTEGRATION
"Bringing search and display together is something that should have happened a long time ago," said Brian Stempeck, Vice President of Business Development for The Trade Desk. "Search has more data" and more intent data than all other forms of online advertising. When a person searches for "buy Halloween costume" or "cheap flights to the Bahamas," they’re expressing their exact intent. Acquisio and The Trade Desk are giving agencies the opportunity to do really precise retargeting campaigns, putting display ads in front of search customers who have already shown intent. Agencies have long been searching for a way to improve results in both search and display. We’re proud to be the first and only partnership in the industry that has made this kind of integrated approach possible in a scalable way."

62% OF AGENCIES POLLED PLAN ON EXPANDING DISPLAY OFFERINGS ACROSS THEIR CLIENT BASE
Agencies' even those that have solely focused in the past on search advertising' are embracing the integration of search and display, the opportunity it creates for their clients, and the benefits it brings to the agencies themselves. During a recent event held by Acquisio and The Trade Desk, attendees were asked "How do you see the future of display in your agency?" The vast majority of respondents – 62% – indicated that they would be "expanding [display] offerings to all clients." Marc Poirier, CMO and co-founder of Acquisio, finds this number telling. "The fact that two-thirds of the agencies responding to the poll question said that display was going to be a substantial part of their future indicates the level of interest and excitement in display. This is a huge opportunity for all of our agency clients. It’s very easy for search agencies to quickly see the benefits of letting their search data help them make more informed and successful display buys."

EARLY RESULTS SHOW DOUBLE-DIGIT BOOSTS TO SEARCH, THOUSAND-PERCENT BOOSTS TO DISPLAY
The true seamless integration between search and display has garnered impressive results for customers using the enhanced Acquisio platform during the beta period. "We’ve seen some campaigns where the overall cost per acquisition has been cut in half," said Poirier. "We’ve also witnessed campaigns that got a double-digit percentage boost in search conversions, and display conversion improvements in the thousand percentage point range." In fact, Acquisio began using the display and retargeting functionality for its own in-house marketing campaigns during the beta period, and according to Poirier, even they were surprised by how quickly the move paid off. "Within the first week of managing our campaigns on the integrated platform, we increased our lead volume by more than half, while simultaneously decreasing our overall cost per acquisition by 20%. Our sales team was surprised at just how fast our lead count increased and how qualified the leads were, and our marketing team was delighted to see our CPA numbers decline so rapidly."

POIRIER, GREEN TO SPEAK ON ADDING DISPLAY TO SERVICE OFFERINGS; PLATFORM DEMOS AVAILABLE AT BOOTH 301
Acquisio’s Poirier and Jeff Green, CEO of The Trade Desk, will be showing agencies how display can help increase leads while simultaneously decreasing average costs during their presentation "Are You Ignoring Display Advertising? If So, Are You Crazy?" The presentation will be held from 10:45AM until Noon on Wednesday, September 14 and all SMX East attendees, including Expo Pass holders, are invited to attend this free event. Additionally, representatives of Acquisio will be providing demos of the platform and showing off the integrated search and display functionality throughout the conference at booth 301.
